Your Massage Questions Answered

  • The perfect length for a session depends on many different factors:

    Goals for the session?

    Relaxation vs pain management

How much pain/discomfort are you in?

How many problem areas need to be addressed?

How long has it been occurring?

The longer a session is, the more time we have to help reach your goals in one session. For longevity in results, you’ll still benefit more from consistent bodywork. A good rule of thumb is- the more pain/ discomfort you’re in, the more you’ll likely benefit from longer sessions. This will give us time to address the pain point/s adequately

  • Perfect for a “tune up” in between longer scheduled sessions.

    Suggested for minors and beginners.

A good option for someone who wants to try out a specific therapist/treatment.

Enough time for one or two problem areas such as neck/shoulders or low back/hips.

  • Perfect for a full body massage if your goal is relaxation.

A good option for detailed work on two to three specific areas.

Allows time to focus in on one, maybe two problem areas, with full body.

Detailed session examples: upper body only or full back, hips & legs

  • Best for deep tissue, allowing the therapist to slow down and prepare the tissue for proper deep work.

Allows time to focus in on one to three problem areas, with full body.

A preferred option if its been 3+ months since your last massage

  • Allows time for detailed work throughout the entire body.

Great if you want focused work along with stretching.

If the goal is relaxation, this will provide ample time to relax and reset

  • HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE - Water is vital to recovery!

Hold off on caffeine and alcohol. Limiting intake of these two will help you to avoid dehydration! This is especially important after a deep tissue massage to help keep soreness at bay.

Avoid strenuous activities! It’s best to just relax and chill after a massage. This helps your body to recover and soak in all the benefits.

Avoid taking a shower immediately after your session. It’s best to wait at least an hour after your massage to shower. We just nourished the skin with lotion/oils, let it soak in as long as possible!
